Walking Football is a rapidly growing sport and it operates under a unique set of rules that differ significantly from traditional running football. In fact, there are more than 50 rule variations designed specifically to prioritise safety, inclusion and enjoyment.
As our hubs continue to expand across NSW and beyond, the need for trained and confident referees is essential to maintaining the integrity and safety of the game.
WFNSW is proud to have Referee Coordinator John Hanley leading the development of referee education pathways. For Walking Football programs across Australia, please contact John directly at john.hanley@wfnsw.org.
For WalkSoccer (WFNSW’s safety-first, no-goalkeeper format), all players are encouraged to complete the Level 4 Base Referee Course. This course builds understanding of the rules and prepares participants to officiate at hub level.
If you would like to proceed with the WalkSoccer Level 4 Base Course, please complete the Expression of Interest form below.
