About
Walking Football New South Wales (WFNSW) is dedicated to promoting walking football as an enjoyable and inclusive sport that enhances the physical and mental well-being of older Australians. Our focus is on creating a welcoming community where individuals over 40 can stay active, have fun, and forge new friendships in a safe, non-contact environment.
Our Story
Founded with the vision of making football accessible to everyone, WFNSW aims to provide a platform where older adults can continue their love for the game or discover it for the first time. Recognising the need for a low-impact alternative to traditional football, we introduced walking football as a way to keep people engaged in sport without the risks associated with high-intensity activities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster an inclusive community that celebrates diversity and encourages participation from all backgrounds. We believe that walking football is more than just a game; it is an opportunity for personal growth, improved health, and social connection. By offering a supportive environment, we empower individuals to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
What We Offer
WFNSW provides a variety of programmes tailored to meet the needs of our participants. From casual play sessions to organised leagues, there is something for everyone. Our experienced coaches ensure that each session is enjoyable and accessible, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and most importantly, fun.

At the heart of WFNSW is our vibrant community. We pride ourselves on being more than just a sports organisation; we are a family. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, united by their love for walking football and their desire to stay active. Through regular social events and gatherings, we strengthen bonds and create lasting friendships.
